Today’s Workout…

… was exhausting! I’ve been feeling really weird lately and have been wanting to just be outside for a while. So with the rain all day yesterday, this morning was nice and cool…perfect for a bike ride. I didn’t do my usual long ride, but I did ride for about an hour. It was so good, the smells from the rain and the cooling breeze were just what I needed to start my day.

So after a vigorous ride, I came home to do P90x abs and the shoulders & arms workouts.

I love this workout….I’m not sure why though. Man, my shoulders feel like jelly right now.

The combo of biking and P90x really left me exhausted but feeling great. I love this feeling. I don’t get why people don’t work out….it does wonder for my mind and body…the stuff you can and cannot see.

Today’s Workout…

…was biking and I finally went on a different trail today! I met up with Shima and we rode 7 miles from Bethesda, MD to Georgetown, DC and back (14 total miles) on the Bethesda Crescent Trail.

It was really refreshing to ride in a different environment… I was like a kid in a candy shop looking at all the new things around me. Another cool thing around this trail is that they not only have random water stations, but today, they were giving out FREE bike bells…so of course I got one.

After our ride, Shima and I had lunch at Potbelly’s then we went to Georgetown Cupcake (don’t f*cking judge me!!!) and had a sweet treat (pic of me and my bike on the metro back home with my guilty pleasure of the day).

Today’s Workout…

… was biking! After I rode my ass to the post office, I went along my regular route and rode for a little over an hour. I rode hard and fast for most of the way out to the lake then I did 1 minute high-intensity intervals on the way back home. I had a good stretch once I got back in.

Today’s Workout…

…was biking. It wasn’t the most robust ride, but it was OK. Anna and I stopped at the farmer’s market in our neighbourhood. I ended up getting green beans, plums, a tomato, blueberries, and banana bread from the cutest old lady. I ate the green beans already….I put them in the oven (broil) with olive oil and sea salt; I let them broil until they’re kinda brown and shriveled.

Later in the day, my friends and I got some Trini (Trinidad) food: I got curry goat with my ‘buss up shut’.

Today’s Workout…

…was biking. Anna (above) and I rode for an hour and 25 minutes around the usual route. To fuel me for the ride, I ate a mini whole wheat pita bread with about 1 tablespoon on peanut butter. When I got home, I had a grapefruit and a cup of black tea (with milk and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar).

Today’s Workout…

was biking! I really love biking….I feel like I can go on forever (my hefty legs do serve a purpose on this earth). I’m not quite sure how many miles I rode today: my cyclometer (which Anna says I need to throw away) said I did 11.5 miles but when I look at the trail map, I did 14-15 miles. I’m leaning towards 14-15 because before I went on my usual route, I did two miles elsewhere and I did two laps (~3 miles) around the lake below.

I also passed a farmer’s market …

and an airport.

My dumb-ass went riding between 11am-1pm…it was hot as balls and I was riding at super-fast for most of the way. So it irritates me to no end when I ride by the pool in my neighbour’hood’. Why does it piss me off (besides the fact that I can’t use it?)? Because this pool is in a low-income area where the residents cannot afford the $370 co-cop fee for the summer. GTFOH.
